Who We Are

Priscilla Veneklase

Assoc. of Arts, B.S

My name is Priscilla Marie Veneklase, my maiden name is Jimenez. I was born and raised in West Michigan. I am one of five children, I have two sisters and two brothers. When growing up I always wanted to be a teacher or nurse, guess you know which one I picked! After high school I attended Grand Rapids Community College and received my Associates of Arts Degree. Following GRCC, I continued my education at Grand Valley State University and  received a Bachelor of Science Degree. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in Special Education at GVSU.

When not in the classroom I am enjoying time with my husband of 13 years and two children; 12 year old daughter and 6 year old son. We enjoy going to MSU sporting events, camping, and traveling. Some favorite hobbies of mine are reading, hiking, taking pictures, and trying new things. Did I mention I LOVE science, I enjoy science so much I have been a member of the National Science Teacher Association since 2012. I am currently a member of the Plaster Creek Stewards helping restore our local watershed. Finally, I have been a member of Michigan’s DNR program Salmon in the Classroom since 2011. Salmon in the Classroom allows students to raise, care for and maintain the salmon in the classroom from fall until spring.
